From a single classroom in Balia to a multi-disciplinary movement across Murshidabad — here's how it unfolded, year by year.
Murshidabad Balia Prerna Foundation was born out of a simple yet powerful idea: that sustainable change happens when communities are empowered to lead their own development. What began as a small group of volunteers conducting literacy classes in Balia village has grown into a multi-disciplinary organization serving over 120 villages across Murshidabad.
Over the years, our work has expanded from education into healthcare, women's empowerment, elderly care, disaster response, and the preservation of Murshidabad's rich cultural heritage. Through every challenge — floods, pandemics, and economic hardships — our commitment to the people of Murshidabad has only grown stronger.
Foundation Established
Started as a volunteer-led literacy initiative in Balia village.
Healthcare Programs Launched
Began organizing free medical camps across rural Murshidabad.
Digital Seva Centers Opened
Introduced digital literacy and e-governance support centers.

Expanded operations to cover over 120 villages with 10 active program areas.
মুর্শিদাবাদ বালিয়া প্রেরণা ফাউন্ডেশন একটি সহজ কিন্তু শক্তিশালী ধারণা থেকে জন্ম নিয়েছে: টিকসই পরিবর্তন তখনই ঘটে যখন সম্প্রদায়গুলি তাদের নিজস্ব উন্নয়নের নেতৃত্ব দেওয়ার ক্ষমতা পায়। বালিয়া গ্রামে স্বেচ্ছাসেবকদের একটি ছোট দল দ্বারা পরিচালিত সাক্ষরতা ক্লাস থেকে শুরু করে, এটি আজ মুর্শিদাবাদের ১২০টিরও বেশি গ্রামে কর্মরত একটি বহুমুখী সংস্থায় পরিণত হয়েছে।
বছরের পর বছর ধরে, আমাদের কাজ শিক্ষা থেকে স্বাস্থ্যসেবা, নারী ক্ষমতায়ন, প্রবীণ যত্ন, দুর্যোগ মোকাবিলা এবং মুর্শিদাবাদের সমৃদ্ধ সাংস্কৃতিক উত্তরাধিকার সংরক্ষণে বিস্তৃত হয়েছে। প্রতিটি চ্যালেঞ্জের মধ্য দিয়ে — বন্যা, মহামারী এবং অর্থনৈতিক কষ্ট — মুর্শিদাবাদের মানুষের প্রতি আমাদের প্রতিশ্রুতি আরও দৃঢ় হয়েছে।
