Rebuilding Lives After the 2024 Floods

The 2024 monsoon floods displaced over 800 families across low-lying villages near the Bhagirathi river. MBPF's rapid response team mobilized within hours — distributing emergency relief kits, setting up temporary shelters, and coordinating with local health workers to prevent disease outbreaks. In the months that followed, our rehabilitation program helped 140 families repair or rebuild their homes, while our resilience workshops trained community members in flood-preparedness for the future.
